Varian Medical Systems https://www.varian.com/sites/all/themes/varian/images/varian_logo.jpgis seeking a Patent Agent who will work directly with inventors and scientists in all aspects of patent practice, including evaluating invention disclosures, drafting patent applications, and prosecuting applications. Candidates should have strong academic credentials and prior work experience as a patent agent (4+ years), as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. A background in medical devices, imaging systems and software, and mechanical systems strongly preferred. Current USPTO registration as a patent agent required. The successful candidate will be one who enjoys drafting and prosecuting patent applications, and can maintain a significant docket of cases as his or her primary responsibility.
