Husch Blackwell, a full service law firm, has an immediate opening in its Chicago office for an Intellectual Property Associate with two to three years of experience. The ideal candidate will have an electrical engineering degree, be registered with the USPTO, and have one to two years of experience prosecuting patent applications.
The candidate must have working knowledge of domestic and foreign patent matters. This includes, but is not limited to, proficiency in drafting and filing patent applications with the USPTO and abroad, responding to office actions, and working with foreign associates on international patent applications.
The candidate must have an excellent academic record, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with a team, superior judgment, the ability to effectively handle multiple projects, and the ability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action.
Candidates should have an Illinois bar license or commit to obtaining one as soon as possible.
