Cabinet Beau de Loménie, a top-tier European patent law firm located in beautiful Paris, France, is seeking a qualified U.S. Patent Attorney possessing at least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or telecommunications.
The position involves patent application preparation in English and prosecution (mainly before the EPO and USPTO), client counseling, opinion work, and other related IP work for some of the world’s leading technology companies and universities. In addition to transactional IP work, the qualified applicant will have the opportunity to advise team members and clients on all aspects of U.S. patent law, as well as to be trained in procedures associated with the European patent system (e.g., prosecution, opposition, etc.) with the option of sitting the European Qualifying Examination before the EPO following the requisite training period.
The candidate should ideally possess 1-4 years of patent application preparation and prosecution experience, and be currently registered in good standing to practice before the USPTO. Experience as a patent examiner is desirable. English as a native language is a must, while French language skills are helpful but not mandatory. Occasional travel to the U.S. for client development purposes is anticipated.
Salary commensurate with experience.
