- a general firm with a dynamic, growing IP department in Des Moines, IA - is seeking a patent attorney with at least 7 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience. Position requires a master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in biology, chemistry, and/or biochemistry with substantial experience prosecuting biotech and chemical applications. Trademark experience is advantageous but not required.
The firm’s Intellectual Property Department is a highly collegial and collaborative group. We are looking for a team player who values excellence, teamwork, and a work/life balance. A portable book of business is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have the desire and client development skill set to help expand her/his practice and the department’s client base.
