2SPL is a German patent law firm seeking junior US patent attorneys for our office in Munich, Germany. Thus, candidates must be willing to relocate to Munich, Germany. Candidates should have strong technical skills in electrical engineering and/or physics. Experience in drafting and/or prosecuting patent applications for telecommunications-related and/or semiconductor-related inventions would be a plus. Successful candidates will form a small U.S. team within the firm to draft, prepare and prosecute our clients’ U.S. patent applications and to coordinate their world-wide patent prosecution activities. We would also provide support in becoming a European and/or German Patent attorney. The international city of Munich in Bavaria offers exceptional cultural, artistic, outdoor activities in the heart of Europe close to the Alps and lakes. Munich can be considered as the heart of German industries and technologies as well as the European and German patent system. 2SPL offers a salaried position with indefinite term in Munich, Germany. Candidate Qualifications: Must have passed the USPTO patent bar. U.S. citizenship is required, as candidates will need to be able to obtain/keep their registration to practice before the USPTO while living abroad. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Elect. Eng., Computer Eng. or Physics is required. Actual engineering experience is a plus. German language skills are not required.
