Smart & Biggar is Canada's largest and highest-ranked firm practising exclusively in intellectual property and technology law. We are seeking a Patent Agent / Lawyer for our Calgary office.
An ideal candidate will be a Canadian and/or United States lawyer and patent agent with 3+ years of experience in patent drafting and prosecution working with clients primarily in electronics/computer related technologies, and preferably also experience with clients in the energy industry. He/she will have a technical background in electrical or computer engineering, computer science and/or physics. Experience with patent litigation and/or patent and technology licensing would be an asset. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills are essential.
