Patterson Intellectual Property Law, P.C., a large law firm, is seeking an IP associate to work in Nashville, TN.
The firm is seeking to hire associates with 1-5 years’ experience in Intellectual Property law with specific experience in electrical engineering, computer science, software, or related industries. The position will be in Nashville. Patterson is proactive in flexible arrangements for office time and working from home.
Experience in client portfolio management, performing and conducting patentability and freedom to operate searches, rendering opinions regarding validity, infringement, and enforceability is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, physics, computer science, or an adjacent discipline and must be admitted to practice before the USPTO.
The ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively in oral and written form is required. Advanced writing, comprehensive technical reading, communication, and research skills are also required. Experience related to software patent prosecution and litigation is helpful. A strong work ethic and excellent leadership skills will add to your success on our team.
