McKee Voorhees & Sease is seeking a licensed Patent Attorney/Agent to join the firm’s expanding Chemical and Biotechnology practice group. Preference for candidates with hybrid work arrangements based out of Des Moines, IA. Remote work arrangements considered for ideal candidates.
An undergraduate degree or an advanced degree in chemistry or chemical engineering with excellent academic credentials is required. All candidates must be licensed to practice before the USPTO. Candidates with at least 1 year experience prosecuting patents in the chemical arts are preferred. The ideal candidate has significant experience with patent prosecution, including responding to U.S. office actions and preference for experience with specification drafting.
Successful candidates will work with senior associates/patent agents, partners and directly with clients in all phases of patent prosecution, including patent preparation, prosecution, and international portfolio management. Self-motivated candidates with attention to detail and love of science will feel at home with the firm’s Chemical and Biotechnology practice group, providing an engaging, close-knit group of professionals providing clients superior legal services.
