J.A. Lindeman & Co. PLLC, a growing patent firm located in Falls Church, VA (suburban Washington, DC) is seeking a Chemical Patent Associate. The associate will work directly with the firm’s attorneys and clients on patent matters for leading chemical and pharmaceutical companies, universities, as well as start-up and emerging companies.
The patent matters will involve preparation and prosecution of US patent applications, direction of non-US patent prosecution, opinion work and related counseling. The position requires a strong background in chemistry. All candidates should have excellent academic credentials and strong writing, analytical and communications skills. 2 to 4 years of patent prosecution experience, admission to the Virginia bar and registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office preferred.
