Pergament & Cepeda LLP, a small, rapidly growing Lifescience and IP firm in Morris Country, New Jersey is looking for Counsel in its Patent Strategy team, reporting to Chair of Patent Strategy/Founder of the firm. The suitable attorney will have excellent academic credentials, an advanced degree in a lifescience discipline or organic chemistry, over 8 years of experience in pharmaceutical patent strategy, including patent prosecution and opinion drafting. Particularly important is experience drafting non-infringement and invalidity opinions, especially for generic pharma clients. Non-legal work experience in pharma company is very helpful. Both in house and outside experience in pharma work are helpful. Understanding of pharma subject matter from legal, technical and business standpoint is extremely helpful.
The position involves prosecuting pharmaceutical patents (polymorphs, antibodies, solid forms, formulations, NCEs) for variety of pharma industry clients, building generic positions for ANDA litigation, drafting opinion of counsel, participating in expert and other science work in ANDA litigation.
