Kowert Hood is a boutique law firm in Austin, Texas specializing in all aspects of intellectual property law. The firm includes over 40 attorneys and patent agents that assist technology leading companies in the US and around the world protect their intellectual property rights. The firm has an extensive patent prosecution practice and consistently leads the Austin area in filing the most patents and having the most patents issued.

Patent Attorney:
Excellent opportunity for attorney with 1-3 years experience. Kowert, Hood, Munyon, Rankin & Goetzel, P.C. (KHMRG) is seeking an attorney for patent prosecution in the software and computer engineering field.
We provide the option to work remotely, in-office (Austin, TX), or hybrid.
Candidates should have a some experience working on patents in computer-related technologies. Candidates are expected to have a solid technical background and be able to quickly learn new technology and make distinctions between past approaches and proposed innovations. A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred. We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas: software engineering, artificial intelligence, database systems, cloud computing, cryptography, computer architecture, and circuit design.
