Patent Attorney – In-house — New York area

General Patent Corporation International (GPCI) is a premier IP licensing and enforcement firm.  GPCI undertakes IP licensing and enforcement matters on a contingency basis.  A privately-held company located in Suffern, New York, GPCI is the oldest contingency patent enforcement organization in the US.  GPCI is seeking in-house patent attorneys to work on litigation, licensing and a variety of IP-related projects.  GPC group of companies is located in beautiful surroundings of historic Montebello Park providing a unique working environment.  This is a growth opportunity with an industry leader.

Job Requirements

• J.D. or LLM degree from high-quality law school
• A degree in EE, Physics, or Computer Science
• Admission to New York or other state bar
• Admission to practice before US Patent and Trademark Office
• At least three years experience as practicing patent attorney, with primary emphasis on patent litigation and prosecution in computer-technology-related arts
• Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills a must

Desired Experience:
• Due diligence investigations of patent portfolios
• In-house experience or other experience managing outside counsel
• Broad technical or business knowledge of software, eCommerce, computer systems, semiconductors, telecommunications or consumer electronics.
