The Cleveland office of Benesch, Friedlander, Coplan & Aronoff LLP is seeking an associate for its Intellectual Property Group. A qualified candidate should have an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, be admitted to practice before the USPTO, and have at least 3 years of experience practicing patent law. Knowledge and experience with electronics, digital devices (including PLCs), circuit protection, and computer software is important. Substantial patent preparation and prosecution experience is required, while experience drafting opinions and supporting patent litigation is highly desired.
Applicants should possess a strong academic record, superior writing and analytical skills, and the ability to work well with our diverse client base.
