Landmark Intellectual Property Law, PC, a coastal intellectual property boutique, seeks a registered patent attorney with 1 – 4 years of patent prosecution experience in the electrical/computer/software fields who is looking for a change in quality of life without forfeiting the intellectual stimulation of providing exceptional legal work for large to medium size clients. While initially a part time position, the position will transfer into full time, with competitive pay and an exceptional benefits package coupled with a collegial, relaxed work environment with a view of the beach in Santa Cruz County, California.
The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial spirit and is driven to provide top-quality work. A B.S. in electrical engineering, computer science, or physics is strongly preferred. Registration before the USPTO is required, as is a license to practice in California or a willingness to sit for the California Bar Exam.
Candidates should have experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications and have strong writing skills. Responsibilities will include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, reviewing and managing international portfolios (working with foreign associates in various jurisdictions), and working with clients to identify and protect untapped intellectual property.
