Steuben Foods, Inc. 
is seeking Patent Litigators who will work, both independently and within a team, to conduct an advanced legal analysis of patents, relevant technologies, and other materials for intellectual property matters within the legal group of a privately owned food and beverage company.
The Patent Litigators will work with a current team of attorneys to assist with legal issues related to patent litigations and due diligence investigations, with a focus in the areas of mechanical engineering and chemistry.
The Patent Litigators will also conduct a technical analysis of relevant publications, patents, and other scientific analysis; collaborate with a current team of attorneys and experts to develop positions related to patent infringement and patent validity issues; collaborate with experts and attorneys to prepare expert reports; and assist in preparations for depositions of experts and other technical witnesses.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidates for these positions, which will be based at the company’s Queens, NY campus, will possess:
- Minimum 2 years of active patent litigation experience, with outstanding academic background, preferably including Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline;
- Admission to and good standing with the bar of a U.S. Jurisdiction, preferably the NYS Bar, and registration to practice at the USPTO is preferable;
- Adaptability and strong desire to learn the company’s business; and
- 24/7 work ethic, with team-first mentality and demonstrated leadership qualities.
