The Alexandria office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC has an immediate opening for a Patent Associate or Agent with a minimum of 2 years of patent experience, a degree in Mechanical Engineering and registration with the USPTO. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Excellent academic credentials, writing skills and communication skills are required. The Firm’s mechanical patent work includes a wide variety of technical arts, including protecting inventions in high and low technology, obtaining design patents, developing patent portfolio strategies and analyzing intellectual property of key competitors.
