IP Patent Prosecution Associate / Agent / Engineer – Large Law Firm – Multiple Locations

michael-bestMichael Best & Friedrich LLP is seeking an additional Mechanical Engineering Patent Prosecution Associate, Agent, or Engineer for either Milwaukee, Waukesha, or Madison, WI.

Our Prosecution Associates prepare patentability searches, patent applications for filing with the USPTO, draft Office Action responses, and partner with firm colleagues and client representatives regarding an array of new and exciting technologies.

Eligible candidates will preferably have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, but experienced candidates from Biomechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Physics backgrounds may be considered.

2+ years of firm patent prosecution experience are required. Admission to the Patent Bar is preferred, but not required.

Attorney candidates must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school, and be in good standing and an active member of the bar of the state in which they are admitted to practice.

Relocation assistance may be available.

The candidate must excel in a team environment and be a highly motivated self-starter with excellent business judgment, outstanding written communication skills, and the flexibility to thrive (and have fun!) in a fast-paced professional environment.
