RowanTree Law Group, PLLC is seeking an experienced and self-motivated candidate with 6+ years of patent drafting and prosecution experience to assist our clients with patent portfolio development. The ideal candidate will have the following (i) a blend of in-house and law firm experience with a dash of entrepreneurial spirit (or experience), as we pride ourselves on providing pro-active, practical and business-savvy guidance to our clients; (ii) non-U.S. portfolio management experience and familiarity with drafting PCT applications with an eye towards sensitivities in other major jurisdictions (e.g. EP, CN and IN); (iii) current ePCT training and experience; (iv) a sense of humor; and (v) strong drive for staying current on latest developments in patent laws, regulations and best-practices. Experience in medical devices, autonomous vehicle guidance systems, software inventions and/or RFID inventions is helpful. Proximity to our Ridgefield, CT office is preferred but not required - we are able to accommodate a remote position for a particularly strong candidate. We are a growing firm, and this position is particularly attractive for a candidate with a small book of business who is looking to supplement this with additional work. The compensation structure is intended to motivate a candidate to further build out their own book of business in addition to supporting our current client base.
