Re: “Bizarre Amazon Patent Application Suggests Jellyfish-Like Drones for Warehouses”
Does not look bizarre to me. More like a smart company making effective defensive use of the patent system to dislose varioius brainstrormed ideas for automating warehouse managment in their patent applications before someone else files patent applications that might interfere with their use. A good patent attorney has to work with the inventors to dream up enough “meat on the 112 bones” for an enabling disclosure to get it allowed, and that does not necessarily have to be practical or efficient engineering.
