AIPLA is
seeking an attorney to serve as one of two Deputy Executive Directors with the principal day-to-day responsibility for international intellectual property issues of concern to the Association and issues relating to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Performs a wide range of representational functions relating to the nature of the Association’s preeminent role in domestic and international IP issues. Performs in-depth research and analysis on domestic and international legal topics as assigned. Independently exercises significant discretion and judgment in carrying out assignments.
Reports to the Executive Director.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of and experience with international and USG-related intellectual property issues, policies, and organizations. A law degree with special expertise in the field of intellectual property law is required. Working relationships and experience in the USPTO is highly desirable, as are a proven track record of success in prior related work and superior communication skills.
