Schwabe currently has an opening for a full-time, licensed Biotechnology and/or ‎Pharmaceutical Patent Attorney or Agent in our Intellectual Property department. This ‎position will be based out of Bend, OR, Portland, OR, or Seattle, WA. The ideal ‎candidate will have:‎

2+ years of experience in biotech patent prosecution
Advanced degree in biology, biochemistry, immunology, or molecular and cellular ‎biology
Excellent writing, interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent academic credentials and professional references
Demonstrated ownership of projects and willingness to work in a team-oriented ‎setting, but with significant independence
Strong client service ethics
USPTO registration required
Oregon or Washington bar, or eligibility for reciprocity is required for attorneys

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top-of-market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $400,000-630,000.
