Edell, Shapiro & Finnan, LLC, 
a mid-size Maryland IP law firm, seeks associates with backgrounds in electrical engineering or a similar degree and associates with backgrounds in mechanical engineering. Electrical candidates should have experience in wired (optical and electrical) and wireless networking technologies and equipment with 3+ years experience in patent application drafting and prosecution. Mechanical candidates should possess a degree in mechanical engineering, strong writing skills and have at least two years experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications and patent clearances in mechanical arts.
Candidates must have substantial experience drafting patent applications including conducting disclosure meetings with inventors. U.S. Patent Office experience or familiarity with the USPTO practice is desirable.
