Edell, Shapiro & Finnan, LLC, a mid-size Maryland Intellectual Property law firm, seeks an associate or patent agent with a background in mechanical or electrical engineering or a similar degree.
Candidates should have experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in mechanical or electrical arts, possess a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or a similar degree) and have strong writing skills. The position will focus on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications and right-to-use and patentability determinations for domestic clients.
U.S. Patent Office experience or familiarity with the USPTO practice is highly desirable.
