Cantor Colburn, one of the largest full-service intellectual property law firms in the country, is seeking a patent associate or agent to work in its Houston office.
The Associate will be responsible primarily for drafting and prosecuting patent applications domestically and internationally in the chemical or chemical engineering arts, with some work preparing invalidity, infringement, and freedom to operate analyses.
The successful candidate must have an advanced degree in chemistry or polymer sciences, or a degree in chemical engineering with strong technical knowledge. At least two years of patent drafting experience, including having drafted more than 30 patent applications and having prosecuted applications both in the U.S. and overseas is required. Excellent academic credentials and writing and communication skills are desired.
