Notaro, Michalos & Zaccaria, P.C., an intellectual property boutique, is looking for a litigator with at least 5 years of experience for its Orangeburg (Rockland County), New York office to undertake responsibilities in a wide range of litigation matters involving patents, trademarks and unfair competition, false advertising, copyright, trade secrets and idea theft.
Experience required in all aspects of IP litigation including, pleadings practice, motions, briefs, depositions, Markman procedures, final pretrial practice and, also, TTAB proceedings, reexamination and inter partes review, IP and commercial agreements (licensing, NDAs, manufacturing and distribution agreements), patent and trademark opinions, and patent and trademark prosecution.
The ideal candidate will be a person who pays meticulous attention to detail, who has the ability to produce a high quality work product independently and in a team-oriented practice, and who has strong communication, interpersonal and client counseling and service skills.
The attorney must have an engineering, computer science, physics or math degree, be a member of New York State bar and registered to practice before the USPTO.
