Nike seeks a Global IP Systems Administrator to work in its Portland, Oregon, headquarters. As our Systems Administrator supporting Intellectual Property, you'll work with multiple aspects of the NIKE Intellectual Property Center of Excellence (IP COE), including:
- Work closely with Patent and Trademark COEs to lead project work-streams that help identify and evaluate critical strategic priorities.
- Drive development and implementation of key deliverables through collaboration with the IP COE.
- Support key portfolio and business operations for IP COE initiatives by providing quantitative and qualitative analytical support and thought partnership.
- Utilize IP workflow knowledge to support portfolio management-related activities, including report requirement gathering.
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Management of IP Docket and Workflow System including the oversight of application upgrades and integrations with all additional IP tools required for Patent and Trademark day to day work.
- Liaise between service provider and Patent and Trademark Teams to ensure overall operational excellence and continuous system/workflow improvement.
- Triage system errors reported by the user base to ensure they are resolved timely and provide proper system training as needed.
- Recommend operational improvements based on knowledge of IP workflows that will enhance the IP Management System used by the IP COE.
- Implement system configurations in support of business needs and lead testing efforts to drive projects to completion.
You'll be responsible for managing multiple sources of communication and documents. You'll exercise proactive communication with key stakeholders. You will develop and employ best practices, policies and good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for defining, designing, developing, testing, and implementing technologies in Intellectual Property. You'll continually analyze operations, identify problems, seek process and reporting improvements and integrate into operations and work processes.
Finally, you'll need to demonstrate a strong ability to rapidly assimilate new information and technologies, work successfully in a highly matrixed organization and forge partnerships with peers, customers, and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4+ years Intellectual Property experience
- Experience or aptitude for understanding, developing and deploying new systems, processes, concepts or tools across a team
- Ability to resolve conflict, manage multiple priorities and utilize a keen attention to detail
- Ability to analyze and interpret data through IP Legal filter and elevate information as a strategic asset
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented, diverse team environment
- Must be comfortable with ambiguity and be resourceful enough to find solutions on your own
- Ability to lead and influence others to prioritize and accomplish objectives Communication Skills
- Ability to develop strong working relationships across a broad set of stakeholder groups
- Professional business demeanor; demonstrates patience, ability to negotiate effectively and network within/outside of the organization
- Ability to communicate and present effectively to all levels of the organization
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable giving presentations and training sessions
- Ability to network and influence critical business outcomes in a matrix based, global environment Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of Internal Nike networks and systems is beneficial but not required
- Knowledge of the Nike matrix is beneficial but not required Computer Skills
- Strong computer skills, including experience navigating the internet and using PC and Windows-based software (Microsoft Office)
- Experience using and managing electronic docketing systems is required
- Experience with Anaqua is a strong plus
