Patent Associate / Agent – Law Firm – Alexandria, Va.

The Alexandria office of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC is seeking a Chemical/Materials Technologies patent associate or agent with a minimum of 2 years of experience and a degree in the chemical arts.  Candidates should have significant patent application drafting experience, and preferably with respect to polymer chemistry, nanotechnology and nanomaterials.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, drafting patent applications, prosecution related documents, post grant review documents and opinion letters, as well as patent portfolio analysis.  Candidates must be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
