Coats & Bennett, PLLC, a boutique intellectual property law firm in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina, has an immediate need to hire highly motivated Patent Attorneys and Patent Agents who are experienced in patent preparation and prosecution related to telecommunications and electrical technologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with strong academic credentials
- 2-4 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience
- Good skills in drafting patent applications and preparing responses to Office Actions with little instruction
- Experience with wireless communications
- Experience with the following technologies is highly desired: CDMA, TDMA, OFDM (4G) used in LTE and Wi-Fi / WiMax networks and Spread Spectrum (Bluetooth)
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Admission to practice before the USPTO
- For attorneys, admission to the N.C. bar is a plus
