Armstrong Teasdale is seeking Patent Agents and Patent Engineers to assist patent attorneys with all aspects of patent prosecution, including patentability searches, preparation, and prosecution of patent applications, clearance searches, and invalidity searches.

1. Conducts patentability searches and analyses, and assists in the identification of patentable inventions
2. Drafts patent applications with the assistance of the patent team
3. Prepares Information Disclosure Statements for submission to the US Patent and Trademark Office
4. Assists with invalidity and clearance searches
5. Assists with developing response strategies to office actions
6. Works hand-in-hand with inventors on newly created products
7. Solves client challenges and responds to client needs

Patent Agent (This position is expected to meet or exceed a billable hour model)
- Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering or technical discipline.
- Preferred Education: Master’s Degree or PhD
- Required Licenses and/or Certifications: USPTO Registration required
- Required Experience: 1 year of professional experience
- Preferred Experience: 2+ years of experience
- Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A
