Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC has an immediate opening in our Alexandria office for a patent agent with a degree in electrical engineering or computer science. This position requires the ability to think critically, to quickly understand new technologies and to write well. Candidates would preferably have some patent drafting and prosecution experience, but experience is not required. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, drafting patent applications and prosecution of patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and patent offices around the world. Candidates must be already registered to practice before the USPTO or be willing to sit for the registration exam.
