King & Spalding LLP is seeking a patent agent to join its intellectual property team. We are open to hosting the role in several of our offices in cities including Atlanta, GA, Houston, TX, New York, NY, Washington, DC, and Palo Alto, CA.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Working closely with the IP team to draft and prosecute patent applications before the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office
- Assisting IP attorneys in the representation of clients involved in Patent Office proceedings, patent litigation and general patent prosecution matters
- Completing patentability assessments and third-party patent searches
- Conducting patent diligence for mergers and acquisitions
- Assisting the IP team as needed with patent clearance and enforcement projects
