Handcuff Patent: Nike and Marshall Gobuty

Marshall Gobuty (MGI) has reportedly sued Nike Inc. for infringing MGI’s patented “handcuff” technology.  According to USPTO’s office of assignment recordation, MGI owns three patents on this type of hand-covering apparel.  (e.g., U.S. Patent No. 6,035,441).  The patents claim priority to a 1995 application that is now abandoned.
