At least three years of experience as a patent agent or technical specialist with a law firm or corporation.
Strong academic credentials, which should minimally include an advanced degree in Organic Chemistry, doctorates are preferred. Candidates should have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Ability to grasp new technical teachings quickly.

Responsibilities will include:

Interviewing inventors to learn about new ideas to be patented. Our clients include some of the world’s largest and most technologically advanced companies.
Preparing patent applications, which includes drafting technical descriptions describing the inventions.
Advocating for our clients before the U.S. Patent Trademark Office to seek issuance of a patent. This includes writing claims for the patent application, as well as analyzing patents and other publications relating to chemical inventions.

Duties:

- Electrical: semiconductor devices and fabrication processes, transistor level circuit analysis, telecommunications (i.e., wired and wireless communications, hardware and software, networking, etc.), electrical engineering, software.

Duties may also include the drafting and analysis of patent re-examinations as well as opinions of counsel; management and direction of foreign counsel; client counseling, infringement analysis, validity analysis, re-examination and reissue request drafting, IP licensing, IP due diligence, and assistance with marketing and client development efforts; possible review and management of junior associate work product for senior candidates; and direction of paralegal staff. Salary:

We offer a unique compensation structure which provides a generous base salary with an expectation of 1550 minimum billable hours per year.

Position Overview:

Participate in managing litigation and pre-litigation activities, including investigations, advising on strategy, drafting documents, interviewing internal witnesses and experts, compiling and presenting documents and discovery responses;

Requirements:

A juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school;
Membership in at least one state bar;
