Responsibility for this role also includes drafting and reviewing intellectual property provisions in agreements and providing patentability and freedom to operate assessments of internal and third-party intellectual property rights. In addition to one area of expertise (e.g., patents), the incumbent must have begun developing skills and acumen in an additional area of law and have a clear understanding of the Animal Health or related business environment in which legal advice is rendered. Duties and Responsibilities:

Requirements:

Weaver Austin Villeneuve & Sampson LLP (WAVS IP) is seeking lateral candidates with at least two 2 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution. Applicants should have a solid background in electrical engineering, physics, or computer engineering. We are particularly interested in practitioners with an advanced degree and/or work experience in geometrical and wave optics, optoelectronics, III-V semiconductor devices, display technology, AR/VR, optical materials (e.g., liquid crystal, photopolymer, and crystal), photonic integrated circuits, and semiconductor integrated circuits.
